This week our stake put on a Chinese New Year party and we were able to go with our investigator, Wen Chen! Teaching Wen has been so amazing and so different than anyone that I have taught before. Because Wen and his family came from China he has no religious background. We have had to teach him from square one who God is. This week, we were able to read the Book of Mormon with him and teach him about repentance. As we were teaching him the spirit was so strong! He told us he really liked meeting with us and he was going to go home and repent of the things that he had been thinking about during the lesson.
I know that the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is so real. We don't need to be carrying about these rocks that we have in our life. Jesus Christ performed the Atonement for YOU! He is just waiting for us to use that gift He has given us.
We also went to visit this girl named Cassie this week. Her friend is a missionary in this mission and thought she needed a visit! We went over and as soon as we walked into her house we felt a weight on our chest. As we were talking she went on to tell us that her house is haunted. She told us about the scary things that happen like every night she hears footsteps pacing around her kitchen. Their technology malfunctions by turning off and on without them doing anything. She also hears crying at night. She told us the Elders were able to go and dedicate her home which made it feel a little better but she still hears things. After we left we all felt the weight lift and we felt much better.
