HAPPY HALLOWEEN🎃

Hello hello!

It was such a good week here in Fort Mac! We got a couple inches of snow this week it was so exciting:) We met this guy named Philip and he invited us in for a cup of tea and pie. We didn't get more than a couple words in the whole hour that we were there. We were able to tell him a little about the Book of Mormon and asked him to read it. He asked us to come back in a couple days when his wife was home.

Dropping like flys...

We had meetings all week in Edmonton so we were only in our area for 3 days, but in those 3 days we dropped all our investigators. It was super sad because 2 of them were on date and we were super excited about the other ones, but they just weren't ready for the gospel.

One More Door

This week was kind of slow because in Fort Mac there isn't much to do, so everyone takes every excuse they can to leave. Also, with the weather getting cold, everyone is getting sick. We couldn't set up many appointments because everyone was either gone for thanksgiving, or sick:( We had been stopping by potentials all week with not much luck until....Tarell opened his door! We were kind of in shock because it had been a while since someone was actually home (or not hiding from us). We stood there for a few seconds so I just started talking. Tarell was a name we found in our area book who had been taught the Restoration, but for some reason nobody had followed up with him. I introduced us as missionaries and asked if he would still be interested (after almost 2 years) in meeting with missionaries. He seemed super excited and invited us in! Sadly, we had stopped by right before we were supposed to go home for the night so, we scheduled a time to come back the next day.
The next day, we went over and we taught him the history behind the Book of Mormon. He seemed super interested and said he wanted to learn more! We gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would definitely read it, whoot whoot!

We had gone over to Tarell's house at like 8:50 that night. If we had just decided we were going to go back to the apartment instead of knocking 1 more door, we wouldn't have found Tarell. Have faith in Him!

Keep smiling:)

Let Him Lead

This was such an amazing week here in Fort Mac, but I just want to tell you all about October 5th for me!

We started off with our typical morning schedule. The usual exercise, shower, breakfast, etc. We planned out our day and then left for a meeting. After the meeting we had a lesson to hurry off to. That lesson fell through and we were about to go with our backup plan, but I felt impressed to visit one of our potentials earlier than we had planned. We had been trying to contact her for a couple days now and she was finally home. She told us she wasn't interested and while I was disappointed, I felt peace because I knew someone else was going to find her when she is ready.

Welcome to Canada, eh!

Hello family and friends!

Gosh this week was a great one. I made history twice and I've only been here for a week! We had Sisters Specialized Training this week where they had all the sisters in the whole mission come together for training for 2 days. They have never done this before and I was so blessed to be here for it! I'm also the very first sister missionary to be trained in my area, so that's pretty exciting! This is only the third transfer that they have had sisters in this area, so im pretty lucky to even be in this area! I'm going to an area called Fort McMurray which is about 5 hours from Edmonton and it's as far north as they send the sisters. I'm in for a cold winter that's for sure:)

Colour me RAD

This week was really exciting! We had zone conference, exchanges, and volunteered at a colour run (it was called colour me rad). All of th...
